I am fairly knowledgeable in astrology (at least to the extent that internet and books can offer), but there is one, seemingly rare, factor to astrology that doesn’t sit right with me. I suppose it’s somewhere along the lines of Numerology, but not quite. I can’t help but skim through "What Your Birthday Says About You" type books when I come across them in bookstores, in which each day of the year is written about with different characteristics than the preceding and following days. This would mean that each day within one sign are capable of less or more than the previous or next. This doesn’t make sense to me. In a way, it’s putting limitations where perhaps there aren’t any. Also, certain days of the month are linked to certain characteristics (i.e.: Those born on the 1st are natural leaders and flamboyant, those born on the 12th are passionate and hardworking, those born on the 2nd and 20th are art connoisseurs, and so forth.) Beside the fact, it seems each book I read has a different description of each day. What basis do they stem from?

It’s mighty rare, and usually you have to be recommended by somebody to get an agent, OR, you have to win a contest or something.

Agents and managers troll the contests. All writers know this. You can shun contests, but now you’ve just shunned agents by doing that. That’s a huge beginner mistake to think that way. Typically, agents and managers are inclined to look at the top 25 percent placements in a contest. That kind of finish goes in your pitch emails and so on.
