Can someone help me get a job?
I am a recent graduate (BS in Marketing)that is continuing my education to a Master’s level and i am looking for employment. I have been searching for sometime now and things are getting so much harder. I recently moved to the MD area and would like to work here or DC. I have experience in Purchasing (which i enjoyed very much) and accounts payable. If anyone has any ideas on how i could get a job or can offer me a job. I would appreciate that.
I have tried every job search engine out there.
I just want to add i am receiving my Master’s in BA with a concentration in Healthcare. Also i am obtaining my Master’s online which will not affect my work schedule and commute

From your description, you must live in DC suburbs. If you would be interested in the credit industry. I will give you a job site. I retired from there & they are great to work for, good pay, great benefits. Go to navyfederal.org & click careers. They are the world’s largest credit union and are headquartered in Vienna, VA. Since you’re a recent grad, I’d recommend expanding your search and being willing to relocate, but it sounds like you’re stuck if you’re pursuing a Master’s.
Look for jobs that require a degree, but aren’t specific. Many people care more about your intelligence and willingness to learn than any specific coursework. Talk to your professors about getting an internship or entry-level job. Join LinkedIn and network, network, network. I got a job through the son of a guy who lived in the same retirement home as my grandmother.
Meanwhile, build your portfolio any way you can – do volunteer work, make fake campaigns for existing products, help a friend organize an event.
DO NOT rely on search engines. The best jobs never make it to the classifieds or monster.com, they are word-of-mouth, someone leaving the company, open and shut job openings, so you need to work directly with companies that interest you. Pick five, research them thoroughly, and find out who has the job you want – ask to meet with them and talk about how they got into the industry, what they recommend, other companies where they have worked or know people.
Make your resume stand out, and create a *good* website as well. Hand out business cards (get them at any print shop) eveywhere you go. Tell family and friends that you’re on the market and what types of jobs interest you.

You would be wasting your time looking for a job via the Internet. You would be better off signing onto an office headhunter such as appleone.com or voit.com who have a virtual monopoly in the field of temp office work.
