Will gooogle forgive me for an action like this which – is not even my own?

I am a recent graduate (BS in Marketing)that is continuing my education to a Master’s level and i am looking for employment. Some of the work that I have done since joining include tons of designing (bottom to top) and developing, massive search engine optimization for 5 micro-sites and consulting for many other and as always general updating of the CMS site.

I recently spoke with the VP of marketing and told him that I wanted to change my role to an SEO Specialist. He turned around and said that he thinks I can be more than that. He wants me to take ownership over a couple of the projects that we have (million dollars ones). He stated that by simply being the SEO Specialist, I will always end up doing similar work that I have been doing up to date and would probably be under estimating myself.

My question: What would be the ideal role for me (the title) that I should ask for? We already have a creative director so that position is not available. What other positions would you guys recommend? He wants me to give him an answer and tell what I want my new title to be. I did a little research but then I thought I would try Yahoo Answers to get other answers as well.

I have this non compete clause that is just ridiculous.
