Do I need the permission of a company to put their logo on my website?
I am preparing the launch of a website and want to put company logos on their for the industry. Do I need to contact these companies first for permission? I will be using the site to show them logo placement and sizes to solicit advertising. Only people who know, and please make sure to give your source. thanks.

You do have to ask permission or at least research each companies "terms of use" page, copy-write laws and all.
You probably have thought of this, but here goes. Be very careful when you set up the language because you do not want the customers to think ‘you’ set up the logo for those companies. Use disclaimers!!
Yes otherwise it is copy write infringement they can sue you for that.
You absolutely need permission. Otherwise those companies are endorsing you without knowledge and you are infringing on their reputation an trademarks, and can be prosecuted.
I think you have to consult a good lawyer…I repeat a good lawyer.When u use some thing it will be reported a abuse and could result in a legal action.Beware of lawyers as many of them are vultures just waiting for a prey………..!!!!God hides good things so you hav to search and find out…!
