Find an attorney who specializes in employment law and ask him if you have a case.
ignore them
Oh you can so sue them. Defamation is not permissable or legal, and you surely have a case against them for what they have done.
This is considered ‘libel’ (written defamation). If verbal, it is called ‘slander’ If they have done both, you can sue them for both.
You will need a lawyer to assist you, and I recommend you go to a few ‘free consultation’ lawyers till you find one you like.
In the meantime, start collecting all the examples of libel they posted about you. Since they can change or take down a web site, try to get ‘screen shots’ of all the places they have posted such defamation about you.
