It shows the portion of the text where the search term comes up and usually gives the best search results first. Their news engine isn't as good as yahoo's since it repeats the same AP stories by a lot of different news sources, and it can take a while to sift through. I like Google for searching. I use a lot of google services, like Google Search Google Reader Gmail Google Scholar Google Base Google Suggest Google Earth I also use google for calculation purposes.
