The more you make it easy for your users to share your site to others either through reddit or stumbleupon, the better it is for your website. It makes your site viral and helps you reach more audiences without you lifting a finger.
But don’t limit yourself to these two. Use tools such as AddThis http://www.addthis.com that allow your visitors to share your site to the 2 sites you mentioned but also in MySpace, Facebook, Digg, Bookmarks, Favorites, or even email
reddit and stumble upon are bookmarking sites. In anyways it can help generate traffic or make visitors.
