What type of website is it? Is it a blog, if so submit it with blog directories like http://promobloglist.blogspot.com/

You can actually pay yahoo a yearly fee to get your site to appear higher in someone search list when they look for sites that are similar to yours. Once you do that for a year and more people hit it because they saw it first…then you can drop the service as the numbers will do the work for you.
