Is anyone familiar with Web Promotion Specialist Program by Certified Career Instintue, Newport, California?
They guarantee after spending 9.00 and completing their 6 hour course, job placement will be guaranteed with Fortune 500 companies. Is this true?
Their website address is ccicertification.com. They guarantee full refund if students are not placed in job.
Please advise.

There is a fairly lengthy thread on the subject at:
http://www.friendsinbusiness.com/board1/index.cgi/noframes/read/125548
It answers many questions concerning this "company." It would be worth you while to do some reading there before you make any decisions.
Hope this helps :)
I’m thinking of that ol’ adage, ‘if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is’. If they guarantee a refund if not getting such a job, that should be in writing. I wouldn’t take the chance, but that’s just my thought. I’ve always recommended to go with the more affordable school that is also accredited such as the local county vo-tech school or community college (perhaps non-credit course).
I started with this program about a month ago, finished the course over a weekend and started working with 2 different companies by Monday of the same week. The school is really amazing. I haven’t gotten rich yet, but I did make $3400 doing the web promotion work in my first month.
I checked this out, and there’s a consumer reporter from KGO in California who had his own mother do the program. Looks legit to me.
I’ve been doing the program for about 5 months and I earn $700 on average with it.
Just thought I’d weigh in on this. I’m a CCI graduate. The course is very well put together. They do get you working with a Fortune 500 company (I’m working for Target) In the 3 months I have been doing it my monthly checkes have been: first month: 1,121,34; second month: 2,743.50; third month: 3,987.54
Hmmm! It cost $249 for 6 hours of training and you can earn $125,000 your first year. I bet all those people who have multiple degrees will have wished they read this ad first before spending years in university and thousands of dollars on their education ;-)
It says:
"The work that web promotion specialists do involves typing articles that reference the products and services of the companies they work with. The key is in knowing where to find the right websites and web services where these special articles need to be placed."
Most of these "special places" are places like this forum, my forum, Willie’s forum, etc… It might be hard for some of these people to collect their pay though on boards that are moderated and zap the messages quickly.
One woman claims to have earned $84,000, working an average of 10 hours a week.
It says to click here to read a newspaper article about this company in the Chicago Employment Weekly. The Chicago Employment Weekly website domain name was registered 6 days after the Computer Career Institute website, and the ONLY story it shows is the one about the ad you’re looking at. It would seem a bit odd that the only article a weekly employment newspaper would have is one article from June.
I get a kick out of all the noise the promotion makes about you might be able to get hired by a Fortune 500 company. With six hours training, about the only work you would get is delivering pizzas, as long as you didn’t mess up finding the correct office wanting the pizza.
Barb, save your money.
Best Regards,
Steve MacLellan
