"Here are many ways to boost up traffic on website:
1) Article Submission

5) Affiliate Marketing
6) Press release

8) Many more…
These all are good and effective way to get back links and http://bit.ly/bymvXb” target = “_blank” rel = “dofollow”>http://bit.ly/bymvXb” target = “_blank” rel = “dofollow”>increase traffic. If you are doing this yourself is good, actually I am little bit lazy to do this all myself. I hire a company (Magicsolv.com) they work for me at very affordable fee. I’d suggest you to try their services, they may help you."
I used http://www.imvideocoaching.com and increased my pagerank and sales on my website. Maybe you should try it out!
Social media marketing would work great for an e-commerce website. Think about your target market and promote your website accordingly. If you’re selling travel gear, you are going to want to heavily participate in travel-based forums, if you’re selling green products interact in green forums, etc. Make sure that you just don’t dive into these sites and promote your products. You’ll need to build up a reputation and relation with the users on these websites. If you’re patient and work at it for a couple of months you can see a tremendous increase in sales.
Have you also thought about utilizing Yahoo! Answers for your e-commerce site? Think about how many people on here are asking for the best product relating to (insert category here). Do a search for questions relating to your products and recommend them to the inquirer. Make sure you state your competitive advantage …
What you need to keep in mind is that you shouldn’t just want traffic, you should want quality traffic. You can easily buy 1,000,000 visits for dirt cheap on websites like Monster Pops, but that won’t convert into any sales. Look for where your target market is on the web and let them know your products are out there. You won’t get as many visits as buying dirt cheap (and crap) traffic, but you will see a better sales conversion.
Participate in Facebook and Twitter as well. You’ll be surprised at how much traffic and sales they can product. For Twitter, look for individualls who have an account that is similar to your products, follow their followers (as they are more likely to follow you back than random users) and "tweet" about products, promotions, etc. I read an article the other day how somebody made 80,000 in sales in one week just from Twitter. Don’t underestimate it’s power..
Then of course you need to make sure your AdWords campaign is setup properly. Make sure you are bidding on highly searched for terms that are relevant to your industry. You can use this tool: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal to see the keyword search volume relating to any keyword phrase.
Make sure your website is also optimized for Google and Yahoo. That keyword tool I gave you is also good for selecting what keywords you want to be optimized for. Make sure your target keywords are incorporated through the content of your pages (don’t overkill, but include it often enough), in the title tag, and meta keywords. Also, generate high quality external links that point to your website (very important for Google). This links should be on websites that are similar to yours and are DoFollow and have a high Google PageRank (if you don’t understand this, please e-mail me at primevisibility@ymail.com).
I can type about this for hours, but this should be a good starting point. As you might have been able to tell, I have been involved with Internet Marketing for a very long time. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me: primevisibility@ymail.com or you can always visit our company’s website: http://www.primevisibility.com
I hope this advice has helped and best of luck to you and your new website!

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.
Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.
You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.
Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who’s my end user – is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.
A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.
Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.
Placement of Metatags:
A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.
The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.
And the very last category – "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.
Good luck!
