You can do a Google search for "your niche" + blog and find popular blogs about your subject. Then visit these blogs regularly and see if you can comment on relevant posts with good content. You’ll be able to have a link to your website and should be able to generate some traffic that way.
Also, in this niche I think a lot of the social networking sites would be good places for your to get the word out about your site. Places like Facebook, etc. You can create Squidoo lenses (squidoo.com) and Hub pages (hubpages.com) for free and link to your site.
