I am interested in getting an internship during this summer dealing with stock market in general. However, while going through numerous internship websites, as well as job search engines, I became more and more lost. None of the categories were as clear cut as to say "Brokerage Firm." Instead, I came across; Accounting & Finance, Finance, Investment, Financial Services, Investment banking, ect. WHAT?! I just want to get an internship where daily vitality of the market matters, and decision have to be made due to that. Those options are not detailed enough for me to say, “Yes, that’s were I would like to be.” With my upcoming AA in business management, I understand that I will not be a broker; however, I just want to be around that environment. I am interested in getting to taste that line of work, also better understand the market in real life, enough with the books! I live in NJ, so lets not refer to NY, Chicago, or Philly.

I am in Michigan – one of the worst unemployment rates in the country – any tips to help me stand out and get to the interview? 15+ years in admin. experience, polished and professional. Unfortunately, the game seems to have changed from the last time I looked for a job 8 years ago. I tried striking out on my own when company I worked for closed, to no avail. Are the job search engines helpful? I registered with just about all of them (Monster, etc.) but definitely hard to follow up when the company is anon. Ugh!

I just graduated from College with my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasis in marketing I also hold my Associate of Applied Arts degree in graphic communications…Any advice on some good positions to be seeking? (I never did an internship..) When I look for jobs on job search engines I usually type in marketing associate, or marketing coordinator jobs…but does anyone know of any better keywords, or really what I should be looking for, for an entry-level job with this kind of educational background? Thanks for any help!

I’m a college graduate with a degree in marketing. My company is going under so I’m looking for work. I know about the big job search engines (careerbuilder, monster, etc.), but I was wondering if there was a website for government job postings. I’ve heard that government jobs are stable and have good benefits. Does anyone have any ideas?

I’ve had no luck with newspapers, monster and other job search engines. A job as a marketing associate would be an ideal job for me. I live in N.W.In.

Should i read the newspaper adds, Q & A Yahoo, go to closest state workforce center, use stale websites job search engines, go door to door beating the pavement, ask an immigrant or make 100′s of phone calls? Anyone care to add bad advice like how to penatrate the hidden job market exclusive to family & freinds?

Are there any job search engines for someone who has majored in Communication Arts, in the track of Journalism & PR?

I have used craigslist, monster, local newspapers, non-profit websites, but desire to find more…

I appreciate any information.

Thanks!
