I started a website sometime in the past year, and I have worked ages on the design and the content and it has a forum and a chatroom. But it simply gets no views. I have googled around for a few months now on how to increase the flow of trffic your website gets and its all the same: "post on forums", "submit your site to major search engines", "build backlinks", "meta tags" etc.. I have done all of these again and again and it really doesn’t seem to be working.

I have recently created an account with LinkRefferal and this seems to help a bit, but it still isn’t getting me the views I need/deserve.

If you want to have a look at my site here it is:

Please Help,

Thanks in advance,

Joe

I have just started a new movie review blog with a twist. I review movies without even seeing them, then review the same movies again after I do see them. The idea is to be funny more than anything. I don’t really know how to get my blog to come up in the major search engines unless I type the exact address in Google or Yahoo. How can I get it to come up by typing in more general terms like "movie reviews", etc.? I had read that posting my link in forums is a way to market it, but won’t other blogs or forums about the same topic not want others to do that?

My blog also contains some explicit language. Can I post my link in forums and so forth without getting into trouble?

Early last year I started my own online business selling skirting boards, fitting etc.. and I hired a freelancer to do the work and set everything up etc.. Anyhow my Freelancer bought the domain name for me using my personal details, and bought the software, maintained the website etc.. and I paid him a good wage. Then once the business started to grow, he held me to ransom of £5000 to buy the domain name off him and to keep my business going. As you can imagine I was shocked and angry, but I refused to pay. So he decided to turn the domain name off, leaving me in serious trouble. Luckily the firm he bought the system off helped me and had a back up of everything on my website. They set me a website up using a new domain name, and configured all my information and products onto the site, and I have began trading again.

Now, 2 things,

1) The firm did a load of Online Marketing for my company, so this guy has started the website himself and is boasting page 1 on all the major search engines because of all the backlinking and strategies that I PAID FOR on my original domain.

2) He’s copied my website information word for word, including all the pictures etc.. and is using it on his website. It’s annoying me because I’m losing a lot of business, but he’ll keep copying everything!

Is there anyway I can nail this guy for breach of copyright, or has anyone any legal ideas apart from giving him a good slap!

Thanks guys, any help would be much appreciated!

What are the best means to market my new web site? I don’t really have a niche – more like a mom and pop variety shop. We see something we can offer at a good price and we buy it in bulk and list it on our site. We cover all kinds of topics like office supplies, books, geocaching, environmental products; you name it. So, by not having a niche to tap into, how do you get noticed? We’re in all the major search engines, but not ranked very high. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a web site called Catering To Your Needs. The url address is written as cateringtoyourneeds.com. I’ve had it about a year now. I built it myself and searched out real quality products with what I think are VERY COMPETIVE prices. My products are guaranteed and some even come with a 25 year to lifetime guaranty. I’ve paid marketing fees, signed up with all the major search engines and tried to make my site as professional as it can be. I ship my merchandise quickly and also respond quickly to any questions. I’ve seen many fakes out there, but I am the REAL DEAL. My problem is I’m not getting orders. My site isn’t even paying for itself. I see that up to 1500 people a month is looking at my site but only about 1% or less are buying anything. I feel I’ve invested too much money in it to quit, but I can’t keep paying all my fees and not be making any money back. Can you PLEASE look at it for me and offer some suggestions on what I’m doing wrong or how to make it better?

I have my own online business in which I sell camping products, supplies, equipment, etc. Unfortunately I have yet to have a sale. I really don’t know how to market my site. I have the site entered in major search engines. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to help me out? I’m pretty desperate here to get my store moving, please help me out if you can. By the way, the link to my website is www.bestcampingdeals.com if anyone is interested.

I’m trying to find the right person/company to do the internet marketing on for my website. I’m a little new to this so I’ve been doing my research. I just don’t believe these people that say they can get you on the front page of major search engines in a week. Any advice?

I have a new website. When I try a search on major search engines my sites does show up in the returned results. I am trying to increase the amount of traffic the site receives. Do I need to register with the search engines, or is there something else I need to do? Any Ideas?

What are some good marketing tips/ideas for a company just starting out with a low budget? I have an e-commerce fashion site targeting women between the ages of 17-35. I’ve already submitted my site to major search engines and linked my site to many top 100 sites as well as advertised on them. Anything other ideas?
Clothing styles similar to bebe, Betsey Johnson and Express.

How can I also get my website on all search engines all at one time? I need to know how much start up money I need for a full online store, tops bottoms dresses shoes accessories and intimates? I have my vendors license I have access to merchandise. I already have the website part set up. I need advertising/marketing and money for the merchandise and get listed on all major search engines. How much will this cost me to start?

There are studies published on the market share of major Search Engines of all Internet Searches. But what about searches from Mobile Phones, either through mobile portals or clients etc.

For example, yahoo has so many different submission choices. I would like for all of the major search engines to have these sites come up at the top of the search results.

This would be to market various product websites.

My Blog, hosted by Blogger, is not appearing on any of the major search engines, even if I search for the blog name – Search Marketing Blogger – or even the full URL – http://searchmarketingblogger.blogspot.c…

The blog has only been live for 3 or 4 days, which could be a reason. Otherwise, I am stumped as to why I am not being listed.

Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.
