Hey all,
In november i took the ISEE placement test for Boston Latin.
I have read on the website that final marks in english and math for grade 7 and the first two marking period grades of the current year are worth 50 %. My question is is the GPA only for english and math?( I HOPE)lol
please give any other additional information.

Okay so Im in the 8th grade right now and I will soon be taking a placement test to get into the 9th grade for next year.I feel our school is not where it should be with our 8th grade work.I think were still doing 7th & 6th grade work.Is there a website that I can go to so I can learn all of this before I take the test? I just need to catch up on some work,? Help please
have a relative who may have to spend a few years in prison. He has already been convicted, and is scheduled for sentencing next month. Nobody in my family has ever been to prison, so I am not sure what he can expect. We want to make sure he takes advantage of all the opportunities they offer, and he has enough activities to keep him busy. What sort of social and cultural activities do they have in a typical prison. Do they offer leisure activities (tennis, shuffle board, aerobics etc) What about cultural/enrichment activities (art, literature, opportunities to learn a new language, etc)? Is there a course catalog so you can register in advance for whatever courses please you or do you have to wait until you arrive to see what is available? Do you have to take a placement test? Also, what sort of opportunities are there to socialize, such as hobbies and clubs (drama club, newspaper, band, color guard,cooking, French Club, etc) ? I want him to make friends and enjoy his time there as much as possible. I tried looking on the state department of corrections website, and I was unable to locate anything information. Should I try telephoning the prison social director or educational coordinator? Any information would be valuable. Thank you.
Hello i recived and cceptnce letter from bmcc,they sent me other letters in the mail but i lost them due to something that happened in my house. my question is should i just follow the "after your admitted steps" found on the schools website telling me to
1) first take placement test.
2)bring in my immunization records.
3)proof of residency,
4))registration and freshman orientation
or should i wait for them to write me again.
has anyone gone to bmcc ? what did you do
At the website it says they will make you take a placement test, but idk if i should still take the SAT?!?! What should i do? Thanks :)

I’ve decided to go back & get my GED. I’m taking a placement test tomorrow to decide whether to put me straight into the GED class or put me into a GED prep class. I’d really like to go straight to the GED class, but my biggest problem is math & reading comprehension.
Can someone give me a website or something where I can brush up on these things? Thanks
how is the placement test? is it hard? what do you have to study? is it worse than the SAT’s??

When I checked my admission status in march, I was eligible for consideration. Which means that I was on some kind of waiting list. Now I checked it again in April and it has changed to "Incomplete File." The website tells me that they don’t have all documents to process my file.
It says I need to view my "outstanding items for application"
Which are the EPT placement test and Final transcript.
So basically, what does this mean?
I keep seeing placement test links on the Saxon website and also mentions of exams here on YA, so I’m not sure. I used to use a lot of it years back in third grade, and it wasn’t accredited, but they seem to have changed a lot of their design. Is it accredited?
I have a placement test for next year’s Algebra 2 course. I took algebra 1 about 2 years ago and don’t remember much. Can you either explain to me or link a website that will help me with:
1. Factoring trinomials into binomials
2. Linear equations whose coefficients are fractions
3. Simplifying equations with radicals in them
the class that i want is not available at the college website and + i feel like the class is not for me …. is it ok i just add a higher course so ill be able to turn in my university application in time or is the placement test really for a reason.
tomorrow i have to take a placement test for my local community college. I have a few questions..
seeing as how i’ve been out of school for 2 yrs, how hard is the test? what kind of questions? is there a website i should check out that maybe has some study guides on it or something? please help!

I’m just getting signed up for school going into the tenth and the are asking me to come in and do a placement test I want to do real well so is there a place i can do some pre test or something.
I really need to get a good score so i can get place in a ap class, this placement test is for high school.
