I registered a site .tv and .co but Yahoo search engines can not find it. But Google does a fantastic job (what I expect).

Then I hear I have to pay for Yahoo search placement for websites. And I am appalled that they want me to pay for search engine placement. I do not hate Yahoo. But I honestly prefer Google over yahoo 99%. Me asking is the 1% for asking why does yahoo suck?

And 100% of finding why Yahoo Search Sucks is always – well because they do. I dont commonly like to pay for any advertising of something which I would prefer to be free.

Hi Guys & Gals

I’m looking for an SEO company that provides a guaranteed search engine placement service. There are tons of SEO providers out there, but none of them seem to provide any real guarantee which is a little concerning.

I realise that they cannot "control" Google, but they should at least be confident enough to offer a service that tries until they DO succeed. Just my opinion.

If anyone can advise, please do.

Thanks,

Peter

Our website TeamEcho.com gets pretty substantial traffic for our target market. I don’t want to damage my incoming traffic that I do have, but had to fix issues like Leads Vs Traffic conversion was horrible, broken and non-existent links etc. The question is what should I do with my old pages to not negatively impact search engine placement.

I have a small business and website for it that is ad free. I do sales and repairs on classic arcade and pinball machines. Will it affect my site in a negative way (with search engine placement etc) if I run a text link to an online gaming website? These sites want to pay me for a text link, but I don’t want my site to come across as malicious in any way.

While on some web page, an article popped up from the Los Angeles Times about a woman making 00.00 a month placing ads on the internet. The comments were all scams.

I want to post it again here since yahooanswers gets such high search engine placement. The system is a scam. Here is what is taking place now:

>>>>>>>On April 24, 2009 the Texas Attorney General’s Office announced charges for operating a fraudulent work-at-home scheme against Infusion Media Inc, GoogleTreasureChest.com, InternetIncomeInitiative.com, and Jonathan D. Eborn (”Defendants”), whose “GoogleMoneyTree.com” promised six-figure earnings for conducting specialized Google and Yahoo Internet searches. According to the state’s enforcement action, GoogleMoneyTree failed to clearly inform purchasers that they had been enrolled in monthly memberships and had only seven days to cancel their trial membership. Purchasers who failed to cancel within seven days were automatically charged on their credit card statements each month. In addition to the unexpected credit card charges, customer complaints obtained by state investigators indicate that GoogleMoneyTree failed to actually send the “free kit” and refused to honor customer refunds. The state is seeking an injunction, civil penalties of up to ,000 per violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, as well as restitution for purchasers.

The company I work for just changed websites and we have taken a bit of a hit in search engine placement because of it. Until we get the kinks worked out as far as SEO, I was thinking of using a Pay Per Click ad service such as Google AdWords. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also, I noticed that Google AdWords places your companies linkback on the side of the google search (the right margin). How do you get it to be placed at the top of the search? Thanks.

Is the domain name vitally important for placing for keywords?

The site I need a domain name for is an affiliate site, so high search engine placement is more important to me than branding. Is it vital that I structure the domain name around my keywords? Is the domain name of minor consequence compared to other factors like title and content? Or does it not matter at all?

Any help is appreciated.

I need to market discounted large format original paintings and don’t want to fight it out with Art.com and others for search engine placement. I’m looking at puting up a website and advertising it on other sites like Craigslist.com. If you know of any other sites like craigslist or have any other ideas on how to market this product I would appreciate any advice you care to share.

And I’d like to get rid of one. I know that having duplicate sites is bad for search engine placement. However, I am getting traffic from one site and don’t want to lose that traffic.

What can I do to keep getting the traffic from the site I want to remove / change?

Hi,

I currently run and own a sports related website that consists of sports articles, sports directory and a sports forum. I rank well with MSN, Yahoo and for a few keywords with Google. In fact, my site ranks well with yahoo when searching for sports articles; my site in the top 11.

I’d like to keep my current sports site and design the site more for sports articles and directory, since both are doing well.

That being said, I’d like to open up my own sports cards trading shop. I would sell products in an auction format. Visitors would signup for a weekly newsletter that would inform them of new auctions that have been added.

Should I design this sports auction store as another domain name? It would not hurt my search engine placement, penalize or ban me if I run two sports related websites and link them together?

Again, one of the sports sites I own is just a directory, forums and articles. The other would be my very own sports store in the format of auction style.

Hi,
I have an e-commerce site selling surfing gear for the past year. I have done some advertising but do not really have search engine placement. My partner wants to advertise, I think its more important to spend our funds on search engine optimization. He also think we can learn to do it ourselves but I disagree. SEO looks like a whole job in itself. Does anyone with experience have any good ideas?

There is all this talk that for your site to rank well with google, other websites need to link to yours. How come I see tons of websites
with out a links page that are ranking well? What do they do to get others to link to their website? I would figure most websites would
ONLY link to yours if you link to theirs.

I see tons of webmaster forums online and they all have basically the same content. Yet they have tons of other sites linking to theirs with out them having a links page to exchange links.

Are there other ways to receive good search engine placement?

A few years ago I worked with my father in search engine placement. There was a free online tool that helped us out a lot.
You would basicly type the keyword and hit submit and it would tell you how many times this particular keyword was searched for in the top 10 most popular search engines. Now I have been looking for a couple days and all I seem to find are payed downloads. Not really what I am looking for. This site was free. I just dont remember the name of it anymore. It has been a long time. If you know of such a program that is free and online without downloading please let me know…. Thanks for your help.
