I am the marketing director of a company which has had tremendous results. One person who was very close to us went and filed a rip off report online because of personal issues..when confronted he was extremely guilty and apologized to take it back but realized he couldn’t do it. We wanted to do rebuttal and so did he but when consulted with internet reputation guys they said not to do it as it would show up more on the first page. We have had tremendous amount of satisfied client and not one single dissatisfied customer. How should a victim of bad internet publicity handle the situation. How can we push such negative entries backward on search engines without causing much scenes with rebuttals? Please help as its my job to take care of it and I am not sure how! (Heard something about search engine optimization..not sure how to do it myself ). Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated..thanks !!

How important is the relevancy of your URL in SEO? For instance if I own a flower shop in NYC. Is it important to have NYCflowers.com instead of GregsTulips.com? How much consideration if any do search engines take in the URL when deciding placement?

Is it good to buy keyword variations of my domain name? Will that hurt my standings in search? I am considering buying other names but am not sure if this will hurt or help me. Thanks so much..

I purchased SEP terms from Nett Solutions that guaranteed us top placement on search engines. I trusted that NettSolutions.com was giving us proper placement with the correct terms. In April ‘08 we closely examined our terms with NettSolutions.com and found that MANY of the terms we paid for from NettSolutions.com were incorrect and even different than agreed upon. We actually had many misrepresented term results that had been that way for over a year! Upset, we called NettSolutions.com and spoke with Alana Orsborn. Alana assured us that our terms were correct but later admitted that they were in fact wrong and always had been! They immediately decided to drop us as customers of NettSolutions.com with no apology or offer to refund any of our thousands of dollars spent for terms we NEVER WANTED! What action should we take to hold NettSolutions.com acountable? Maybe Small claims? Tough with them in CA and us on the East Coast. A lawyer may cost more than our money lost. Any suggestions?

Stumbling across USearchMe is an attention-grabbing experience. Differing slightly from your customary Yahoo, Bing, and Google interfaces, it definitely demands at least some attention. In this article I’m going to go over the pros and cons of utilizing an independent search service such as UsearchMe, and explore a few of the options offered.

One of the first things you’ll notice upon landing on “USearchMe” is that it is not quite as plain as if you use among the more outstanding search engines. You will probably discover that there’s quite a lot of textual content down at the bottom. Sadly, many of us busybodies want to say we do not have the time to read through such things, but the textual content supplied here will change your opinion on the capabilities and customization ranges of search engines, so listen up!

The first cool function I would like to go over is that of accessing multiple search engines from one page. With USearchMe, you may access both Bing, Yahoo, or Google search results or a metaranking choice which mixes these into one! Also, you may instantly discover that the results you receive back are extremely detailed. You will be presented with a thumbnail picture of each website before you even click on it, together with the standard title and description. Moreover, you can even click “quickview” to see the website inside the search results web page so you do not even have to go to it.

A “social search engine”? You bet! When using USearchMe, outcomes will have a “feedback” tab next to each listing. This permits users of the search engine to leave suggestions on each web site such as if it was helpful, ineffective, or potentially dangerous to your computer. Registering here additionally let’s you customise your search results and homepage settings even further.

Last but certainly not least is the diversified criteria with which you’ll surf. One visiting UsearchMe’s homepage will discover that there are 5 tabs above your search bar. They’re news, images, web, local, and audio. Every of those will deliver up a unique set of results based on what you enter. For instance, the local feature (one of my personal favorites) will let you put in a restaurant kind or a service you want done. Then, it will shoot you back the names, locations, and telephone numbers of local businesses or services in your area that may fulfill your needs… How cool is THAT?

If you’re ready to save time and energy by getting super-charged and customized search results it’s definitely time to check on some alternative search engines like USearchMe.

I’m looking for marketing suggestions to attract customers to my golf league management website (I won’t list the site so I’m not accused of spamming). I have an Adwords account, I’ve gotten great rankings with keywords like "Golf League Management" (usually #1 or 2) on Yahoo and Live.com, and within the top 10 on Google. I’ve also posted to golf blogs and directories.

Golf leagues are so seasonal that I basically have a 2-3 month window each year to get new customers. They trickle in by finding it through the search engines, but obviously I’d like to maximize this as much as possible.

I’ve been considering dropping by some golf courses and trying to give a quick unsolicited pitch to whoever’s behind the counter in the golf pro shop, but I’m not sure how this will go over.

Any other suggestions out there? I’ve gotten great feedback from the leagues that are using it, but how do I convince others that it offers much more than they can do with an individual software program?

I am looking for advice on how to market/advertise my online baby boutique with a very small advertising budget. I signed on with Network Solutions, and they have reworked my site to be more easily recognized by the search engines. I have also signed up for their keywords campaign. But at 0.00 a month, I don’t think that is the best choice for me. I am at a loss with trying to figure it out on my own. My budget is very small. I am looking for ways to promote my boutique and bring in shoppers. I am so busy with all of the other facets of the business, that I don’t have tons of time to devote to researching different ways of advertising. What are the best ways to get my boutique noticed and shopped? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am very dedicated to the success of my boutique! Thank you!

I work in insurance and I just moved into a new market. I’ve been busy buying leads from various vendors (netquote, insureme, hometown quotes) and I stumbled to Fluent usa, Inc. This company is asking for about ,000 (for patents to implement something into search engines) from me and in return they will deliver real clients to me. I’m just wondering if anyone has done business with Fluent. Or do you know of other lead sources?
