Does anyone know where online I can find cell phone numbers for the sales prospects I call on each day? I am a cold calling telephone sales rep. Each call consist of greeting the gatekeeper, asking who is in charge of ordering the supplies, chemicals, small equipment etc.. If I am lucky, I will atleast get a name. My problem is that when I do finally get my contact on the phone and sell him, I am only half way through. All orders must be confirmed . Eighty percent of my sales come from employees who do not sit at a desk.These men and women are never in the same place for too long. So, without there cell phone number, the chances of each deal getting confirmed by the order desk in a timely manner decreases immensely. Now, obviously I do get a small majority of clients who have no problem giving me there cell #. Also, I do ask every secretary, admin assistant, and what I usually refer to as the gatekeeper but lets face it, there job is to keep me the salesman from taking there time up as well as sell them anything. Of course I love it when my extension rings and one of my steady clients needs to place an order but thats one out of 100. If there are any marketing professionals, social media experts, or anyone that can hopefully toss out some ideas that could help me I would highly appreciate it. Lastly, my list of possible online sites so far consist of Facebook, Myspace, Google, Yahoo, Pipl, and Bing. I know there are many more but I am at a stand still. I already work 40 hours a week dialing numbers so spending another 6 hours at night seems crazy but I want to succeed so bad I am dreaming about it. Think I am going to snap soon. lol. I know that there was a law trying to get passed that would allow telemarketers to look up personal cell phone numbers and to be honest, I am so happy it failed. I already get enough calls each night either during dinner or getting my 3 children, ages 2, 4, and 5 1/2 to bed so I can clean up the house before my wife gets home from her 3 to 11:00 shift. Not feeling sorry for myself, just trying to figure out why one, or two children wasnt enough. Ha ha. If anyone knows of a site that does a good search or has a sizeable database of cell numbers let me know. I am already prepared to pay money to join a site or two. Seems all the free sites are never really free. Thanks again.
