Look at the majority of people who own Macs……kids. They get them and have no idea why they did, except it looks nice. Then they install Windows on them which defeats the purpose of owning one in the first place.
So, them not knowing the difference is not surprising to me.
It’s because when someone says PC they always refer to Windows. People who have Macs never say "I’m going to use my PC" because everyone will think they have a Windows PC not a Mac so they just say Mac. A Mac is different from a PC and especially the operating system.
"When Apple’s are dropped they just get a dent, when Windows are dropped they shatter into pieces."
Most people assume that a PC is a Windows based computer whilst a Mac is an Apple-based computer.
PC is mostly powered by Windows OS, and a MAC is not.
